Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect on this website, why, for how long and what rights you have. It is written in plain language.
Who is responsible
The data controller is MICROPONTO - Tecnologias de Informação, Lda., through its PXT division.
Registered office: Zona Industrial Maia I - Sector 9 - Lote 231, Travessa João Veiga Anjos, 4470-440 Maia, Portugal.
You can reach us through the form on this website or by phone on +351 93 943 9543.
What data we collect
When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, email, company (if you give one), the kind of service you are looking for and the message you write.
As on any website, the server records technical data about each visit, such as the IP address, the date and the page requested. It is used to keep the site secure and running.
Why we use the data and on what basis
- To answer your request and, where relevant, prepare a collaboration. Basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse and spam, for example by limiting how many messages one address can send. Basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not make automated decisions about you.
How long we keep the data
We keep your message only as long as needed to reply and follow up on your request. If it does not lead to a collaboration, we delete it after that. If it does, we keep the data for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting purposes.
Technical server logs are kept by the hosting provider for the period it sets.
Who else has access to the data
The site is hosted in the European Union, with OVH (France), which processes data on our behalf. Messages sent through the form are stored on that server.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which provides a content delivery network and protection against attacks and therefore processes technical data such as the IP address. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union; in those cases it relies on mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing we keep in your browser is your theme choice, light or dark, which is not sent to any server.
Cloudflare may set a technical security cookie, strictly necessary to protect the site from automated traffic.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of and portability of your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise a right, contact us through the form or by phone.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal, that is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at cnpd.pt.
Security
The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and access to the messages we receive is limited to those who need them to reply to you.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Links to other sites
The projects shown on this site link to third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page with the date of the last update.
